Competition Terms and Conditions

By entering this competition, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

• Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Chester Zoo (Chester, CH2 1LE), Proper Advice (First Floor, 25–27 Lower Bridge Street, Chester, CH1 1RS), their families, agents, prize suppliers or anyone professionally connected with this competition.
• Proof of identity and age may be required.
• Internet access is required to enter.
• Use of false information or automated entries (including scripts, macros or bots) will result in disqualification.
• The prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative will be offered.
• There will be 10 winners in total. Each winner will receive a one-night stay at Chester Zoo’s The Reserve Lodges (to be taken within December 2025) and up to four tickets to the 2025 Lanterns & Light Experience at Chester Zoo.
• The prize is subject to availability and both Chester Zoo’s and Proper Advice’s standard terms and conditions.
• Chester Zoo is a registered charity (Registered Charity No. 306077) operated by the North of England Zoological Society, a conservation and education charity. The competition prize component relating to the stay and tickets is offered by Chester Zoo in its capacity as a charitable organisation; participation in this prize does not constitute any endorsement by Chester Zoo of the services or business of Proper Advice.
• Proper Advice is acting as promoter of the competition in partnership with Chester Zoo. Proper Advice’s mortgage and protection services are entirely distinct from Chester Zoo’s charitable operation and no part of this competition implies any service provision or endorsement by Chester Zoo of those services.
• The promoters reserve the right to amend or withdraw the competition, or to disqualify any entry not in keeping with the spirit or fairness of the promotion.
• Unless otherwise stated, ten winners will be drawn at random from all valid entries received by the closing date.
• Winners will be contacted within seven (7) days of the draw by direct message, SMS or email. If a winner cannot be contacted or fails to claim the prize within 48 hours of notification, the promoters reserve the right to offer that prize to another eligible entrant drawn at random.
• Failure to respond, provide required details, or meet eligibility criteria will result in forfeiture of the prize.
• The promoters are Proper Advice (First Floor, 25–27 Lower Bridge Street, Chester, CH1 1RS) in partnership with Chester Zoo (Chester, CH2 1LE).
• In the event of any conflict between these terms and the details in any promotional material, these terms will take precedence.
• The winners’ surnames and counties may be disclosed upon written request for up to two months after the competition closes, unless the winners object to this disclosure.
• Any personal data you provide will be used by Proper Advice solely for the purpose of administering the competition and contacting the winners. Data may also be shared with Chester Zoo for prize fulfilment only. Your details will not be passed to any other third parties without your consent.
• By entering, you consent to being contacted by Proper Advice about mortgage and protection services. You can opt out at any time by contacting Proper Advice directly.
